Redlands and Beaumont are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Terriers will face off against the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Redlands is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Redlands came up short against Cajon on Thursday, falling 12-5.

Meanwhile, Beaumont came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Redlands East Valley 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since April 19, 2024.

Beaumont got a great performance from Lucas Lugo as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits.

On the hitting side, Jordan Ojeda and Landen Nesbit did most of the damage at the plate: Ojeda went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Nesbit scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Nesbit has posted since back in April of 2024. Johnnie Gill also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Beaumont's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Redlands, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
