Baseball Recap: Orestimba Takes a Loss

Orestimba was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 11-7 to the Le Grand Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 last Wednesday.

Donovan Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Ray Montes was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Orestimba's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Le Grand, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Orestimba has already played their next matchup, an 11-2 defeat against Summerville on the 3rd. As for Le Grand, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Delhi on the 4th.
