Basketball Recap: Visitation Comes Up Short

Visitation was the 56-43 winner over Richfield when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Visitation Blazers fell just short of the Richfield Spartans by a score of 63-60 on Friday.

Richfield's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aniiya Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Desirai Chappell, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 18 points.

Visitation's defeat dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Richfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Visitation has already played their next contest (against Fridley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Richfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-42 loss against Northfield on the 15th.
