Volleyball Recap: Divine Child Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The Divine Child Falcons didn't have quite enough to beat the St. Mary's Prep Eaglets on Tuesday and fell 2-1. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eaglets 25-19 in the first set.

While Divine Child ultimately came up short, they really made St. Mary's Prep work, particularly in the second set. The final score came out to 19-25, 26-24, 25-15.

St. Mary's Prep can attribute much of their success to Ava Merlo, who had 14 digs and one assist. Those 14 digs gave Merlo a new career-high.

Divine Child has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. St. Mary's Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4.

Divine Child has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Croswell-Lexington on the 26th. As for St. Mary's Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Central Catholic on the 26th.
