Volleyball Game Preview: Alcott Wildcats vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Alcott Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alcott is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Alcott came up short against Prosser and fell 2-0.

While Alcott ultimately came up short, they really made Prosser work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Roosevelt, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Senn on Tuesday.

Roosevelt never let Senn on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-17.

Alcott's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Roosevelt, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

Alcott couldn't quite get it done against Roosevelt in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
