Izard County came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-0 last Wednesday.

Izard County pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Izard County will venture away from home to face off against Marshall at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sloan-Hendrix, they will head out to square off against Hoxie at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
