Volleyball Recap: Harvest Christian Falls Despite Big Games from Emme Allen and Sam Velasquez

After flying high against Mercy Culture Prep last Tuesday, Harvest Christian came back down to earth. The Saints lost 3-0 to the Victory Christian Academy Patriots on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-16, 25-16.

Harvest Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Sam Velasquez and Emme Allen. Velasquez had 17 digs, while Allen had six digs and two aces. Velasquez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

Harvest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Victory Christian Academy, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 26-6-2.

Harvest Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Victory Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th. Victory Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
