Wendell and Declo are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Trojans will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. Wendell has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Wendell managed to slip by Challis the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans came up short against the Vikings on Thursday, falling 14-6. Trojans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Vikings since on Thursday.

Deegan Prince was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Santos Suarez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Declo came up short against Firth on Friday and fell 5-1.

Zane Snedaker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Wendell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season. As for Declo, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything went Wendell's way against Declo in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Wendell made off with a 9-3 victory. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
