Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archbishop Murphy). They put the hurt on the Lynnwood Royals with a sharp 22-2 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Saylah Lopez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
