Softball Recap: GRACE Christian Eagles vs. Ravenscroft Ravens
GRACE Christian won the last time they faced Ravenscroft and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles put the hurt on the Ravens with a sharp 14-0 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.
Addison Vercellino made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with six RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Audrey Lester was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and one RBI. Ellie McDowell was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
