Volleyball Recap: North Shore Takes a Loss

North Shore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Humble Wildcats. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

North Shore took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 22-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-9.

Amaya Edwards paced North Shore's offense, picking up 12 kills. Edwards got some help from Michele Oviedo and her 20 assists. Bria Taylor controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

North Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 11-17. As for Humble, their victory ended a seven-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 11-19.

North Shore has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Kingwood on the 7th. Humble has also already played their next match (against Channelview), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
