Baseball Preview: Bear River Bruins vs. Cordova Lancers

The Bear River Bruins will be taking part in a tournament against the Cordova Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bear River will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Bear River proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Burbank 9-7.

Kaden Nicholls was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Cooper Berry was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Cordova had just enough and edged out Union Mine 3-1 on Monday. That's two games straight that the Lancers have won by exactly two runs.

Levi Nyberg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
