After flying high against Penelope on Friday, Abbott came back down to earth. The Abbott Panthers were dealt an 80-42 defeat at the hands of the Mildred Eagles on Friday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Abbott's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mildred, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Abbott won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bremond at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mildred, they will face off against Wortham at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Wortham's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
