Softball Recap: South Point Takes a Loss

After flying high against Forestview on Thursday, South Point came back down to earth. The Red Raiders lost 11-0 to the West Brunswick Trojans on Monday. If the Red Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 12-2 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

South Point has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for West Brunswick, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, South Point will challenge East Bladen at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for West Brunswick, they will take on Hoggard at 6:30 p.m. on the 14th.
