Baseball Recap: Brentwood Academy Takes a Loss

Brentwood Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-3 to the Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

Joey Ansell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Keaton Uggla was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Brentwood Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-2-1.

While Brentwood Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
