Baseball Recap: Baboquivari Comes Up Short

Baboquivari lost against San Manuel back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miners. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cole Wilson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Baboquivari is 2-1 when Wilson posts two or more stolen bases, but 1-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Buendia, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Baboquivari's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for San Manuel, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-8.

Coincidentally, Baboquivari and San Manuel will both be playing Patagonia the next time they take the field. The Miners will host the Lobos at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
