Football Game Preview: Huffman Vikings vs. Mountain Brook Spartans + How To Watch

Huffman hasn't had much luck against Mountain Brook recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Vikings are taking a road trip to take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Huffman has given up an average of 36 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Huffman is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Clay-Chalkville on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Vikings took a blow against the Cougars, falling 56-6. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Cougars are ranked first).

Mountain Brook never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Pinson Valley on Thursday. They managed a 39-35 victory over the Indians. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Huffman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Mountain Brook, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Huffman was taken down by Mountain Brook 42-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Spartans' Stuart Andrews, who rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
