Volleyball Recap: Escalante Has No Trouble Against Pinnacle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Escalante walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Pinnacle Panthers on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Moquis.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Escalante was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15, 25-14.

Alison Holcomb paced Escalante's offense, picking up eight kills. Holcomb got some help from Rylee Frei and her seven assists. Marisa Wilson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Escalante's win bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Pinnacle, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Escalante has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Panguitch on the 24th. Pinnacle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
