            Volleyball Recap: Olathe Pirates vs. Roaring Fork Rams        
        
		
        
        
            
If Olathe was feeling good  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Grand Valley last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pirates took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roaring Fork Rams on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
 Olathe started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-6, 25-15,  25-16.
 Isabela Cortes paced Olathe's offense, picking up six kills. Cortes got some help from  Haley Cox and her 11 assists. Finally,  Maryann Fassett kept Olathe's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roaring Fork to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Maddy Applegate, who  had nine  digs and one  assist. That's the most  digs  Applegate has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of  Liz Revilla, who  had nine  digs and one  assist.
Olathe's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Roaring Fork, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-12 record  this season.
 Olathe has already played their next contest,  a  3-2  defeat against Rangely on the 18th. As for Roaring Fork, they will square off against Aspen at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
