They really took it to Western Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 28-0 victory on the road. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lions had established a 21 point advantage.
Daniel Gonzalez had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 106 yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. A healthy portion of that aerial production (91 yards to be exact) went to Lincoln Liggins, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Everything came up roses for Ramona against Arlington when the teams last played back in October of 2023 as the team secured a 37-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ramona since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
