Game recap: Reagan High School Football Team defeats Churchill

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - After swapping the lead three times, Reagan (San Antonio, Texas) took the lead for the win when Ty Summers ran for a touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over Churchill (San Antonio, Texas) 49-35.

After taking the lead on a Summers touchdown run in the second quarter, the Rattlers led 28-21 at the half.

Reagan expanded its lead to 16 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored two times in the third, including once on a Summers touchdown run.

When the two teams played each other last season, the Rattlers came away with a 37-24 victory.



The defeat comes as a step back for Churchill, who notched a 49-7 victory over Roosevelt in its previous outing.

In a 5A Region IV District 26 game next week Churchill (5-4) takes on Lee, and Reagan (9-0) will go up against Roosevelt also in a 5A Region IV District 26 game.
