Soccer Game Preview: Burroughs vs. Oak Hills

Burroughs is 2-8 against Oak Hills since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Burroughs Burros will venture away from home to take on the Oak Hills Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m.

Burroughs is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Hesperia, falling 5-0. The game was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for the Burros it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Oak Hills put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Sultana 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Chris Palacios and Giovanni Paiz scored both of Oak Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Oak Hills pushed their record up to 13-0-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six contests. As for Burroughs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-2.

Burroughs suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Oak Hills in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Burroughs was down 4-0.
