Softball Preview: South Bend St. Joseph Huskies vs. Penn Kingsmen

South Bend St. Joseph is 1-8 against Penn since May of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The South Bend St. Joseph Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the Penn Kingsmen at 6:30 p.m. The last three games South Bend St. Joseph has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

South Bend St. Joseph fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Logansport on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Berries by a score of 6-5.

Monday's matchup will be a test for both team's pitchers. South Bend St. Joseph hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Penn struggles in that department as they've averaged .395. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
