Basketball Game Preview: Cody Comets vs. Southeastern Jungaleers

The Cody Comets will square off against the Southeastern Jungaleers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Cody is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They took a blow against Osborn, falling 53-24. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 559th, while the Knights are ranked 212th).

Meanwhile, Southeastern had to suffer through a 64-14 loss at the hands of King. The defeat continues a trend for the Jungaleers in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now lost five in a row.

Southeastern's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Cody, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Cody didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Southeastern in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 28-24 win. Does Cody have another victory up their sleeve, or will Southeastern turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
