Football Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Swampscott's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Swampscott can now relate to. They fell just short of the Archbishop Williams Bishops by a score of 14-11 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 33 points in the game before, the Big Blue couldn't push the score so high this time.

Swampscott moved to 6-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Archbishop Williams, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Swampscott will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Marblehead at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th. As for Archbishop Williams, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 28-26 victory against Hanover on the 14th.
