Basketball Recap: North Brunswick Takes a Loss

North Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hoggard Vikings, falling 59-13. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Vikings are ranked 15th).

Adrianna Gomez was North Brunswick's leading scorer, having posted four points.

It was another big night for Tristan Shivers, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine assists for Hoggard. What's more, Shivers also posted a 75% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. AK Chance was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine boards.

North Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Hoggard, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

As of now, neither North Brunswick nor Hoggard have any future games scheduled.
