Basketball Recap: Morton Ranch Comes Up Short

Morton Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 67-50 fall against the Cinco Ranch Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Mavericks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Cougars are ranked 40th).

Morton Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Cinco Ranch, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Seven Lakes the next time they take the court. Morton Ranch will head out to face Seven Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Cinco Ranch will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th.
