Basketball Game Preview: Marion Giants vs. Eastern Comets

The Marion Giants will square off against the Eastern Comets at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eastern took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Marion, who comes in off a win.

Marion is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Jac-Cen-Del to the tune of 77-39 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Giants as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Eastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Southern Wells, falling 66-20. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Raiders are ranked 163rd).

Marion's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.
