Softball Game Preview: Foothill Tech Dragons vs. Fillmore Flashes

Foothill Tech hasn't had much luck against Fillmore recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dragons will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Flashes at 3:30 p.m. Foothill Tech will be strutting in after a victory while Fillmore will be coming in after a defeat.

Foothill Tech had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Carpinteria on Tuesday. The Dragons put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 18-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won eight in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kyra Bouchard, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Jocelyn Morales was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Fillmore fell victim to Santa Clara and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Saints, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Flashes in their meetings with the Saints: they've now lost three in a row.
