Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Mount Tahoma

The Lincoln Abes will face off against the Mount Tahoma T-Birds at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Lincoln and eight for Mount Tahoma.

Lincoln is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They lost 7-4 to Silas on Tuesday. Even if Lincoln couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Mount Tahoma fell victim to Central Kitsap and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Mount Tahoma can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while Central Kitsap are ranked 42nd).

Mount Tahoma's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Lincoln beat Mount Tahoma 3-1 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Abes since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
