Softball Game Preview: Randolph Rockets vs. Palmyra-Eagle Panthers

The Randolph Rockets will take on the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Randolph has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Randolph is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Saturday. They took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkview.

Annika Reed and Kiley Bryant stepped up to the plate in a big way. Reed got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run, while Bryant went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Bryant also brought in an RBI, marking her first of the season. Arabella Fua was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Palmyra-Eagle's offense. They came up short against Lake Mills on Tuesday, falling 11-0. The Panthers have struggled against the L-Cats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Randolph's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Palmyra-Eagle, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
