Alexandria City dropped down to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 21-20 to the West Potomac Wolverines. The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Titans couldn't quite close it out.

As for West Potomac, the win got them back to even at 3-3. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Alexandria City: they've now won five in a row.

West Potomac had a senior duo take command as Ben Knapp threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns and Brendan Forti picked up 88 receiving yards and one TD. Knapp's passing game has become a key predictor of the Wolverines' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-3 otherwise.

Coming up, Alexandria City will take on Fairfax at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Potomac, they will square off against Lake Braddock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them.
