Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Lions vs. Hamilton Huskies

The Liberty Lions will challenge the Hamilton Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Liberty is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They strolled past Mountain View with points to spare, taking the game 71-54. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th in Arizona, while the Toros are ranked 68th in Arizona), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hamilton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Red Mountain by a score of 52-44 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Mountain Lions: they've now won five in a row.

Liberty's record now sits at 17-10. As for Hamilton, their record now sits at 14-10.

Liberty beat Hamilton 73-60 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
