Basketball Recap: Delano Drops Highest Score of Season Against West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Delano). They came out on top against the West Vikings by a score of 58-51 on Saturday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered an 83-78 loss the last time these two teams met.

Delano was led to victory by Liam Amodo and Jotham Amodo. Liam posted 23 points and five boards, while Jotham earned 16 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. That's the most assists Jotham has posted since back in January. Hugo Rivas was another key player, putting up six points and 11 rebounds.

Despite the loss, West still got an impressive performance from Soloman Harris, who scored 20 points. That was a full 39.2% of the Vikings' points, marking the fourth time in a row Harris has put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Neimiah Nichols, who had 12 points.

Delano now has a winning record of 3-2. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Delano is taking a road trip to challenge Arvin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Del Oro at 6:30 p.m. on December 1.
