League recap: Goodman's hot bat leads Ocean View

Golden West league recap: 3/8/13

Jared Goodman was on fire this week, as he led Golden West with a .750 average, one home run and seven RBIs. Ocean View compiled a record of 1-2 in that time.

Segerstrom outpaced the rest of the league this week, as its three total wins led the league. The Jaguars beat Troy 10-2, Jurupa Valley 3-2 and Laguna Beach 3-1.

Santa Ana's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing nine hits and seven walks to lead the league in both categories.

The league boasted six .400 hitters over the past week. They were led by Benjamin Springfield, who hit 3.000 this week (3-for-1).

Goodman drove in seven runs for the Seahawks over the past seven days. He has seven RBIs this season, tops in the league.



Luke Fell drove in four runners as Ocean View defeated San Juan Hills 8-6 on Saturday. He went 2-for-2 and scored one run.
