Basketball Recap: Mount View Comes Up Short

If Mount View was feeling good fresh off their 69-30 takedown of Maranatha Christian Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mount View Golden Knights were outmatched by the Wyoming East Warriors and fell 79-35. The matchup marked the Golden Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Mount View saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ky'Rece Hughes posted seven points and six rebounds. Hughes also put up a block, which washis first of the season.

Mount View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-40 defeat against Summit Christian Academy on the 27th. As for Wyoming East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-36 victory against Mingo Central on the 25th.
