Football Game Preview: Pisgah Dragons vs. Quitman Panthers

The Pisgah Dragons will square off against the Quitman Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pisgah's defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so Quitman's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Pisgah came up short against Southeast Lauderdale and fell 14-7. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Pisgah got top-tier performance from Tavorian Smith, who rushed for 109 yards and one score on only nine carries. Smith's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Pisgah also got a significant boost from Ryder White, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 128 yards.

Meanwhile, Quitman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 21-15 to Union. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly six points.

Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pisgah, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
