Baseball Game Preview: East Union Lancers vs. Mountain House Mustangs

For the second straight game, East Union will face off against Mountain House. The Lancers will challenge the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (East Union has three straight victories, Mountain House has 13 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, East Union earned a 7-4 win over Mountain House.

Efren Diaz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Jackson Fay was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Peyton Heath was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

East Union's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Mountain House, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13-1.
