Football Recap: Apex Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Apex was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 32-13 fall against the Willow Spring Storm.

When it comes to explaining why Apex lost, don't look at John Boone. Despite the final result, he picked up 90 receiving yards, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Javel Smith had an outrageously good game for Willow Spring as he rushed for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries. Luke Maslow did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 92 receiving yards.

Apex's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Willow Spring, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Apex wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 38-15 win against Green Level on the 17th. As for Willow Spring, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 24-21 victory against Green Hope on the 17th.
