Volleyball Recap: Oasis Sharks vs. Mariner Tritons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Community School of Naples, Oasis was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Mariner Tritons with a sharp 3-0 win. The Sharks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tritons, too.
Oasis walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-11, 25-18.
Leading Oasis to victory were Tessa Bexfield and Kaylie Berge. Bexfield had five digs, while Berge had three aces. Those three aces gave Berge a new career-high.
She wasn't the only good server: Oasis was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive games.
Oasis' win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Mariner, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
