Softball Recap: Warwick Picks Up 12th Straight Win at Home

There's no place like home for Warwick, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past the Northern York Polar Bears 13-3 on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Kate Shaak tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emerson Overly was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in June of 2024. Another player making a difference was Katie Heisey, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Warwick's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Northern York, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

As of now, neither Warwick nor the Polar Bears have any future games scheduled.
