Basketball Recap: New Buffalo Comes Up Short

New Buffalo lost against Mendon back in January of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The New Buffalo Bison fell 46-37 to the Mendon Hornets. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, New Buffalo saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Peyton Swain shot 45% from the field to rack up 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Lynch, who posted three points.

New Buffalo now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Mendon, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9 record this season.

New Buffalo has already played their next game, a 36-15 defeat against Bridgman on the 27th. As for Mendon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-40 loss against Colon on the 27th.
