Recap: St. Francis DeSales Stallions vs. Zanesville Blue Devils
The St. Francis DeSales Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 26 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Zanesville 49-14 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-8.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Zanesville struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
The victory makes it two in a row for St. Francis DeSales and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Zanesville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis DeSales won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Thomas Worthington at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Thomas Worthington is ranked 228th, while St. Francis DeSales is ranked 223rd). Zanesville will be home for the holidays to greet New Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully New Lexington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Wednesday.
