Football Recap: Tupelo Christian Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Falkner last Friday, Tupelo Christian Prep came back down to earth. The Eagles were beaten by the Red Bay Tigers 36-8 on Friday.

Jaxon Vinson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 214 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per carry for Red Bay. Vinson was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.

Tupelo Christian Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Red Bay, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Tupelo Christian Prep will square off against Rossville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Red Bay, they will face off against Tharptown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
