Monroe and Eaton are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Hornets will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Monroe is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since April 30th on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Talawanda 7-6.

Meanwhile, Eaton came into Wednesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Archbishop Alter 3-1.

Monroe has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eaton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.

Monroe beat Eaton 6-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2023. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
