After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy, Silver Valley was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lucerne Valley Mustangs by a score of 17-12. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Mustangs back in March, they had to take a 29-12 defeat.

Corrie Roark spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and nine unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Danika Gonzalez, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Kathlyn Ternes, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Silver Valley moved to 2-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lucerne Valley, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
