Baseball Game Preview: Summit Academy North vs. Hamtramck Cosmos

Summit Academy North will square off against the Hamtramck Cosmos at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Summit Academy North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.

Summit Academy North is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Ecorse on Tuesday. They lost 9-2 to the Red Raiders. Summit Academy North has struggled against Ecorse recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Kody Osborne made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Cam Knizewski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Hamtramck didn't have quite enough to beat Summit Academy North on Friday and fell 6-5.

Summit Academy North's defeat dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Hamtramck, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
