Softball Recap: Alvin Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Sam Rayburn last Tuesday, Alvin came back down to earth. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Manvel Mavericks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mavericks earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Alvin's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9-1. As for Manvel, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

Coincidentally, Alvin and Manvel will both be playing Dawson the next time they take the field. The Yellowjackets will host the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Mavericks will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
