Basketball Recap: Stayton Takes a Loss

Stayton lost against Pleasant Hill back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Stayton Eagles took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pleasant Hill Billies. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Stayton and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Pleasant Hill, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Stayton will finish 2024 at home by hosting Newport at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pleasant Hill will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Warrenton at 4:00 p.m. on December 28th. Warrenton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Pleasant Hill likes a good challenge.
