Basketball Recap: Ada Comes Up Short

After flying high against Upper Scioto Valley last Saturday, Ada came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell 47-41 to the Van Buren Black Knights on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Black Knights are ranked 176th).

Ada's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Van Buren, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ada won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hardin Northern at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Van Buren, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Allen East at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Black Knights are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
